What is M-Sand?

M-Sand or Manufactured sand is a fine aggregate, which has become widely popular for use in all construction purposes by replacing river sand. It is manufactured by crushing huge rock boulders to fine sand particles. Three different types of m sand are manufactured depending on the granule thickness and usage.

Types of M-Sand Manufactured:

1. M-Sand for Concreting: 

This M-sand is mainly used for concrete purposes. Its granule thickness/sieve size is 150 microns - 4.75 mm and it adheres to IS Code - 383:1970.

2. M-Sand for Plastering:

This M-Sand is mainly used for Wall plastering and Tiling purposes. Its granule thickness/ sieve size is 150 microns - 2.36 mm and it adheres to IS Code - 1542: 1992.

3. M-Sand for Brick / Block Work:

This M-sand is mainly used for brick or block laying or for masonry work. Its granule thickness/ sieve size is 150 microns - 3.55 mm and it adheres to IS Code - 2116: 1980.
